Long-Term Visit Pass Plus and
Singapore PR
Foreign spouses apply through the spouse route; LTVP+ is not a PR prerequisite.
Long-Term Visit Pass Plus: PR Overview
LTVP+ is an ICA long-term stay arrangement for eligible foreign spouses of Singapore citizens. For PR, the relevant published category is spouse of a Singapore citizen or PR. ICA has stated that LTVP+ is not a prerequisite for a PR application.
The Singapore citizen or PR spouse sponsors the PR application through ICA's e-Service. The relationship and sponsor route, not the LTVP+ label alone, establish the published category.
Published Rules and Evidence Scope
Prepare the requested identity, marriage and household records and any employment or education evidence applicable to the foreign spouse. Avoid fixed marriage-duration claims beyond the actual eligibility and document rules shown by ICA.
Current Pass Rule
No published PR salary threshold for the foreign spouse route
Published PR Salary Cutoff
None published by ICA
Advisory Note
Eligible ICA-issued LTVP/LTVP+ holders may work through a PLOC or employer-applied LOC where MOM's conditions are met. The pass alone is not blanket permission to work.
Evidence to Prepare and Gaps to Resolve
Evidence to Prepare
- Marriage and identity records that consistently establish the relationship and any prior marital history
- Current household, child and sponsor records requested for the spouse category
- Accurate work or education evidence for the foreign spouse where applicable
Gaps to Resolve
- Treating LTVP+ as mandatory before PR or as an approval advantage published by ICA
- Claiming LTVP+ itself grants unrestricted employment permission
- Missing translations or inconsistent civil-status records
Common Mistakes LTVP+ Holders Make
These are practical accuracy and category errors to catch before submission. They are not an unpublished ICA scoring model.
-
Confusing ICA-issued LTVP/LTVP+ work arrangements with MOM-issued Dependant's Pass rules
-
Using a fixed marriage-duration benchmark as a guaranteed PR timing rule
-
Failing to reconcile sponsor and applicant information across family documents

Does marriage for three years guarantee PR?
